Issue/Question
- Where do I find the MAC address for personal assistants?
Environment
Resolution
Amazon Echo Dot
- Open the Alexa app on your Phone and click on the Devices button on the bottom.
-
On this tab, you will see your Echo device (s) listed. Tap on your device name.
-
On the next screen, tab on the Settings gear icon on top right corner of your screen.
-
Scroll all the way down to the bottom and tap on About button.
-
On the next screen, you will see your Amazon Echo MAC address listed.
Google Home
Google Home app
- Open the Google Home app
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right, tap Settings >Device information.
- The MAC address should be listed under Technical information. If it’s not, check the device’s Wi-FI connection.
Nest app
- Open the Nest app
- Tap Settings in the top right corner of the Nest app home screen.
- Select the product that you want to check.
- Tap Technical info. You’ll find the MAC address next to MAC or Wi-Fi MAC. Note: Don’t use the serial number next to 802.15.4 MAC. That’s the address Nest products use to communicate directly with one another over a low-power wireless connection.
