What the Tool Can Do: Akindi Test Importer is a tool that allows instructors to readily import test questions from a Word docx file to build individual Quizzes or to build Question Banks in Canvas.
Process:
1. Instructor creates their questions in Microsoft Word (docx file). Each question must contain the question, answer (see formatting below), and distractors if appropriate..
2. The .docx file is uploaded to the the Akindi Test Importer. Instructor can review and make any necessary edits.
3. The importer will automatically detect and convert the questions into a QTI file which can be downloaded to the instructor's device..
4. The Instructor opens the targeted course in Canvas - opens Settings - chooses Import Content - at Select Content Type, choose QTI Zip File - Choose the downloaded qti file and click "import."
