ATTENTION: If you are not an administrator on your computer, you will need to work with your departmental or campus IT contacts to have this extension installed on your computer.
Download & Installation Instructions:
1. In a Google Chrome browser, navigate to the Friends of DASH website and access the Oracle Smart View Extension for EPM document page by using the 'Find a file' feature under Documents.

2. Open the Oracle Smart View Extension (Win-64bit) Install Files folder.

3. Select Executable file and right click to select Download from a drop-down menu.

4. Navigate to the Select the Chrome browser download icon to generate your recent download history, then select the SmartView.exe file.

5. This will generate a pop-up to allow you to select the destination folder for Smart View. Select OK.

6. If you have other Microsoft Office applications open (e.g., Excel, Edge, Teams, PowerPoint), you will receive an error message. You must close all Microsoft applications to install Smart View.

7. After the installation is complete, you will receive a confirmation pop-up.

Connection Instructions:
8. To connect DASH to Smart View, open a blank workbook in Excel.
9. Toggle over to the Smart View tab and select Options to open a pop-up window.

10. In the Options window in the Advanced tab, enter the Smart View link into the Shared Connections URL field. Then, select OK.
Note: The DASH DEV8 General Ledger (GL) Training Smart View Link is : https://fa-ewlq-dev8-saasfaprod1.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/workspace/SmartViewProviders

11. To use Smart View properly, enable Browser Add-Ons for Smart View.
Install the Oracle Smart View for Office web extension from the Chrome Web Store.
12. Navigate back to a blank Excel to the Smart View tab and select Panel to open the Smart View tab and select Panel to open the Smart View Home Panel.

13. In the Smart View Home panel on the right-hand side of the sheet, select Shared Connections.

14. A login pop-up window will generate. Login with your DASH DEV8 Credentials to access DASH data.

15. Once you are logged in, select Oracle ESSbase from the Shared Connections dropdown list to ensure that Smart View is connected to DASH DEV8 data.

16. Expand the EssbaseCluster and click UTCOA. Expand UTCOA and select db. At the bottom, select Ad Hoc Analysis.
