Konica Minolta Email Registration

 

Issue/Question

  • How to add, edit and remove a user's email address from a copier's address book.

Environment

  • Konica Minolta copiers

Cause

  • A new user is needing to be added to the address book or a new copier is being installed in a department. 

Resolution

  • Enter the hostname or IP address of the device you want to manage department codes for into the address bar of your browser.
  • Sign in with your own department code so that you will have access to the necessary settings.

   -Address Book

  • Navigate to the 'Store Address' tab seen at the top of the screen in the following image. You can remove users on this screen as well by clicking the 'Delete' button located to the right of the corresponding name. 

  • Click on the 'New Registration' button. 
    • Select 'E-mail' and then click 'Ok' to the bottom right.
    • Enter the user's information as shown below and then click 'Ok' once more to save the address to the copier.

  • Now when you go to make a scan on the physical device, you can select a user from the address book as the destination and it will scan directly to their e-mail address.

Notes

  • If you are running into issues, make sure that 'Scan to E-mail' is set to 'ON' at the following path:
    • Network => E-mail Setting => E-mail TX (SMTP)
  • Also ensure that the SMTP settings are set appropriately and filled in completely.
