Studio will not record on a Mac

If you recently updated your Mac's operating system to Big Sur, your screen recorder may not work in Studio.  Check these Mac and Google settings to restore the screen recording tool.

1. From your Apple icon in the top left of your display, click System Preferences - click Security & Privacy - click the Privacy tab - scroll through the list of tools on the left to see if your Video Recording tool is live.  If it is not, go to the bottom of this pop-out window, and click the padlock icon to unlock the settings.  Click the Video Recording icon and relock the padlock icon.

2. Go to your Google Settings. From the left-hand menu, choose Privacy & Security -click Site Settings - scroll down to the video camera icon and click. Check to see if  utm.instructure.com is listed.  If not, add it to the safe sites.
