Proctorio: Instructions for Faculty 

I. Installing the Proctorio Extension (One-time installation.) 

1. From your Canvas Course Menu, go to the Secure Exam Proctorio option.

2. Follow the prompts to install the Proctorio extension 

            General considerations: 

• Add a Proctorio practice quiz for students prior to administering a high-stakes test. This practice experience can enable students to address any issues with the test environment. 

• If you enable the Record Video option, students without video capability will not be able to enter the exam. 

• Note that settings cannot be changed after one student has begun the quiz.

• Note that you can create a default setting that you can reuse.

           Reviewing Student Submissions in Proctorio 

1. Navigate to Quizzes in the course site you are working in. 

2. Select the quiz you would like to review. 

3. Click on View Proctorio Gradebook on the left of the page.This will take you to the Gradebook for this exam where you will be guided through a tutorial to review submissions.
