Proctorio:  Student Instructions 

I. Technology Specifications 

A. Proctorio will not run on an iPad or on the Canvas phone app 

B. Take the test in a home or setting with high-speed, reliable internet. 

C. Some faculty require that you use a camera while taking your test.

II. Install the Proctorio Extension to your PC or Mac (One-time installation.). 

  1. Go getproctorio.com. 

 
Get Proctorio Chrome Extension page 

  1. Select Click Here to download the extension. A new window will open. 
    Chrome web store, Extensions, Proctorio page 

  1. Click Add to Chrome. Another window opens with details about what this extension can do. 
    Add "Proctorio"? window listing what the extension can do 

  1. Click Add extension. The Proctorio shield icon will be added to your browser's extension area.

If you don't see the Proctorio shield: 

  1. Click on the Extensions icon. 

  1. Pin the Proctorio extension. It should now appear in your browser area. 

III. Open your Canvas Course and begin Test
