Accessing Your Account

Accessing your UTM Account

Your UTM account is how you will access a wide range of services at UT Martin. Visit What is my NetID? to get started with finding your account and setting up your password for the first time.

To reset a forgotten or expired password, please visit https://ds.tennessee.edu/passwords/. For password instructions and assistance, visit the IT Knowledge Base or call 731-881-7900.

Setting your Preferred Name

Users can now fill out the Preferred Name form in Banner Self-Service under the Personal tab and, once processed, be able to see preferred name changes reflected throughout several campus systems such as Google, Microsoft, Canvas, Banner, Runway, and even your display name when you log in to a university-owned computer. Visit our knowledge base for more information on where to change this setting.
