Security

UTM employees are frequently targeted by phishing emails. If an email looks too good to be true or seems like an odd request, please forward the emails to abuse@utm.edu. If you know that the email is a phishing attempt, you can use the Report Message button within Outlook.

Common phishing emails are related to job opportunities, requesting a call back, or sending an urgent notice to scare the end user into giving up their credentials. Please make sure to check the sender's address or reach out to the Help Desk to verify the email you have received is legitimate.

Accessing O365 Quarantine

Are you missing an email? Likely the message was caught in your O365 Quarantine. To check your quarantine box, go to https://security.microsoft.com/quarantine and log in with your NetID@utm.edu and your NetID password. Here you will be able to review flagged messages, mark them as secure, and release them back to your inbox. If you have continuous issues with a particular email, please call the Help Desk at 731-881-7900.
