Connecting to the Network

Connecting Phones, Tablets, Laptops, and Desktop Computers to the Wireless

  1. To connect to the wireless, you will need to go to your network settings and select 'Eduroam' in the available networks list. 
  2. You will receive a prompt to enter your email and email password. For students, your email format is NetID@ut.utm.edu and your password will be your NetID password.
  3. You will need to make sure you accept any prompt for a certificate.

Connecting AirPlay Devices

  1. To register devices such as AppleTVs, Rokus, and devices that support Google Play, please visit our knowledgebase article on Managing AirGroup Discovery Devices.

Connecting Gaming Consoles and Gaming PCs

  1. To register gaming consoles or gaming PCs, please visit our knowledgebase article on Connecting Game Consoles to the UTM Network.
  2. If you will be playing with friends online, you may need to have your NAT Type changed. Please call the  ITS Help Desk at 731-881-7900 or submit a request through TeamDynamix. You will need to list the MAC address for the device.

Need help finding your device's MAC?

The MAC address of your device may be listed as a hardware or physical address in your system settings. This is a 12-character unique identifier for each device. For general guides on how to find a MAC address, visit the Wireless Assistance section of our knowledge base. Instructions will be listed under device types.
